Loxhore

LOXHORE is made up of three hamlets; Loxhore Town which includes the Anglican Church, Loxhore Cott, which is adjacent to the grounds of Arlington Court and close to one of its lodge gates and Lower Loxhore which includes the Methodist Chapel. These are all contained within the boundaries of two rivers, the Yeo in the west and the Rye in the east.

The parish comprises 75 properties and 156  electors were recorded on the electoral roll in 2021. There is a mix of older properties, some adapted from original stone built farm buildings, some more recently built properties and a few working farms. There is no school, shop, post office or pub but there is a very strong community spirit and a very well used village hall where many activities and events take place.
